Good malty spicy nose with hints of coffee & chocolate. The palate is similar but with a touch of sweet malt. The finish is long and lingers well. Despite the relatively low ABV I normally look for in winter ales, this is a crackin’ example. Bottled, from Spar in Langholm. cgarvieuk (4212), Edinburgh, Scotland

Aroma is roasted on the first day, fruity malts on the second, and 5 days now since i put it on its nutty, little banana, floral citrus off the malts. Taste is continuing fruity malts, a little roasty, alcohol has left after a few days, great wee beer. GarethYoung (1110), Glasgow, Scotland
