From cask at Standing Order. Pours almost clear and deep golden amber with a small fraqmented white head. Mild butterish and roasted malty aroma. smooth and roasted malty flavoured with a mild acidic fruity note. Bitter and medium dry finish.

Cask at Standing Order, Edinburgh. A golden beer with a dense (due to a sparkler) beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of fruit. The flavor is sweet mlaty and fruity, leading to a lightly bitter finish. It was named Standing Order Red Ale on the pumpclip, so I wonder why it is not red???

Sparkler’s white head. Hazy golden ale of strong posture with more alcohol notes than most and a full, but airy body. Sweet cerealic notes are all over the place, accompanied by muted banana undertones. Floral hop range is kept to a minimum all along, leaving the pureed impression more important. A big bowl of cereals.

Standing Order. Who knows how this place manages to get through so much ale that 2 brewerys make ale for it. Aroma is tart fruit, hints at sourness, yeasty and malty. Taste is similar buttery sourness, really just badly kept beer in all aspects.

Cask at Standing Order, Edinburgh. Deep golden. Heavily buttery nose. Sweet and fruity, medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Low bitterness. Quite anonymous, but OK session beer.

A Mes rate: Cask handpull at the Standing Order JDW. Gold colour with a decent head. Malty and sweet, quite German in character. Fruity finish.
