Pretty standard pale ale taste/aroma, with some extra hops thrown in, which in my opinion is an excellent addition. Smooth and tasty beer. phishpond417 (1946), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 21, 2008 A little hoppier then your average Pale ale but wicked smooth. A nice hop blend, integrated well with a touch of ripe malted flavor. Pours a big fluffy head that rapidly dissapears. A great deal for the price for sure. rayg1 (437), Ft. Mill, South Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 20, 2008 Had this at a bar called Cuzzy’s in Minneapolis. My first taste of the famed Minnesota local beer. I have to say that I think this one is a bit underrated. Came to me served in a pint glass with a small tan head on a light amber body. Aroma is lightly hoppy but also fairly sweet. This is a great example of a pale ale. Hops are not the complete focus, which is good because some pale ales tend to go that route. In fact, the first thing I noticed was the nice sweetness of the malts very doughy and a bit of caramel to set the whole thing off. Hops then come in almost as an afterthought to round out the whole experience. Pine and bitterness match well with the malt flavors. I found this to be very pleasing. moelikebeer (219), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 19, 2008 Bottle. Clear, golden amber pour. Aroma of malt, caramel and herbal/floral hops. Flavor is slightly malty-sweet with a nice bitter finish. Whenever I find myself stuck at one of the Twin Cities’ lesser bars (beer selection-wise), I can usually find refuge in an EPA. For that, it will always hold a special place in my heart. JHunter (245), British Columbia, Canada

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 5, 2008 Though not a particularly exceptional beer, this is quite a fine choice for good grilling weather. It is crisp, clean, and bitter but has a refreshing quality to it.
Best very cold.
