Commercial Description:
Summit Extra Pale Ale is not a beer brewed only for beer snobs. Just the opposite. It’s a beer for everyone to enjoy: construction workers, stock brokers, farmers, sales people, clerks, teachers, lawyers, doctors, even other brewers. Its light bronze color and distinctly hoppy flavor have made it a favorite in St. Paul, Minneapolis and the rest of the Upper Midwest ever since we first brewed it back in 1986.

From my neighbor who just got back from Minni- thanks! Poured dark amber/golden, good head formation. Aroma consisting of hops and lightly of malt, nice. Hits the mouth with medium body, had an odd salty/ hoppy finish. Maybe I just got a bad batch...nothing to write home about

Not too shabby. Nice malt flavor, biscuits. Something is a little off about the hops though, otherwise I would really like it. The bitterness is just a bit strange to me. Almost reminds me of clove or corriander or something. In any case, the body is surprisingly creamy and has a very nice texture. Not bad.

Thanks Jesse! Pours a full, semi creamy froth w/ an amber color. Good hangtime w/ spattered and sticky residual lacework. Aroma is fresh w/ grapefruit. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers creating a soft as cotton texture. Malty w/ a mild citrus hop is all I can say. The finish is bittered mildly and is slightly crisp.

Draft - Minneappolis, MN. If I had know that the brewery was around the corner, I would have went on the tour. This was a pleasant surprise at a work related dinner. Great Pale with a smooth finish.

Draft sample. Amber in colour with moderate carbonation. Muted malt aromas with notes of caramel and white grapefruit. More caramel and light grapefruit in the mouth. I got a bit of a salt note as well. A bit watery, but quite drinkable... sort of like a dialed down Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Simple, but enjoyable.

Clear amber color with plenty white head. Clean, sweet citrus hop aroma. Bitter citrus hop body (grapefuit and faint orange). Smooth finish.

Tasted on Tap. This American Pale Ale pours a orange gold color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is floral hops and sweet. A medium bodied APA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are floral and slightly citrusy. Nice carbonation. Good balance. This is a nice solid APA, nothing spectacular but a solid nice drinking beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Sampled at Hills Market beer tasting. This brew is a clear copper color with a medium and fizzy white head that burns off fairly fast. Spotty lacing on the glass. Mildly piney hops with touches of citrus in the nose. Medium-bodied with hops over sweet toffee and malt flavors. The finish is dry and short with a slight grapefruit aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.
