Commercial Description:
Summit Extra Pale Ale is not a beer brewed only for beer snobs. Just the opposite. It’s a beer for everyone to enjoy: construction workers, stock brokers, farmers, sales people, clerks, teachers, lawyers, doctors, even other brewers. Its light bronze color and distinctly hoppy flavor have made it a favorite in St. Paul, Minneapolis and the rest of the Upper Midwest ever since we first brewed it back in 1986.

bronze amber in color, moderate head and lacing. semi sharp start with a dry finish from the hopped up punch. full flavored, clean finish. Overall great pale ale that I would definitely drink again.

Bottle. Pours semi-hazy light amber with a half finger beige head that results in nice lacing. The nose is light citrus and malt. The taste is earthy hops, caramel malt and tart citrus in the finish. Medium bodied. Decent American Pale.

33 cl bottle, Winnipeg, MB, Canada via Fargo. Number 500 - a milestone I suppose. Deep golden colour, frothy head. Citrus spice aroma, Nicely carbonated, more burn from the hops than the carbonation. Flavor relies heavily on the hops, then fizzles out, with an added hop kick at the end. Decent, very drinkable.

Bottle. Pours a nice copper/amber color with a light off-white head, pretty nice lacing. A hint of lemon, but the aromas of malts and hops seem pretty balanced. Medium bodied. A bit of a creamy mouth feel, finishes a little tight. Not bad.

Pours a deep gold, good carbonation and a lingering white head. Sweet malt aroma; notes of caramel & citrus. Taste is sweet malt, notes of caramel and cereal grains; very proficient hop profile; dry hoppy piney finish. This is a very popular beer from where I’m from and it’s easy to see why. Very good pale ale.

Part of the ’beer on a stick’ threesome at Minnesota State Fair. nice golden pour, hoppy, a bit sweet but well balanced, hint of citrus.

A rock-solid pale ale. This is a good entry-level ale for those who are trying to expand beyond "Fat Tire". It’s also nice after yard work when you don’t want a lager, but also want to be able to quench your thirst.
