| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 11, 2006 I may have to try this one again, especially since I had just had DFH 60 and 90 Minute IPAs before it. I noticed some hops, but not to strong. The beer was balanced pretty well, nothing overpowering. eaglefan538 (2394), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 9, 2006 Poured a clear amber orange color with a huge head that laced great. The aroma was somewhat citru-like, couldn’t really pick up on the hops and was worried bottle wasn’t fresh. However, the flavor didn’t disappoint. Full of citrus (some grapefruit) and nice floral and pine hops, very nicely balanced. The malt backbone was strong and enjoyable: caramel-like. Finish was a little dry and pepper-like, complemented the sweet malty backbone and American hops very well. Pretty nice stuff. MIBRomeo (1965), Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 6, 2006 Golden color light coppers w/ a full creamy well laced off white head. Palate is average lightly oily decent body but quite dry. Flavor is a piney bitter front fairly 1 dimensional w/ a dry finish. Some light malts show through as it warms. It’s decent but plain. Nicely balanced taste with just enough bitterness. Goes down easy and smooth. A nice beer for when you plan on drinking all day or for a hot afternoon thirst quencher, very enjoyable. incutrav (576), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA

One of my buddies that drinks ONLY the EPA, says "bitter people drink bitter beer" Which i have found to be somewhat true. This beer doesnt have nothing on Surly Furious, but sometimes that ones a bit much. Summit EPA is nice and hoppy without being overpowering.
