Commercial Description:
Summit Extra Pale Ale is not a beer brewed only for beer snobs. Just the opposite. It’s a beer for everyone to enjoy: construction workers, stock brokers, farmers, sales people, clerks, teachers, lawyers, doctors, even other brewers. Its light bronze color and distinctly hoppy flavor have made it a favorite in St. Paul, Minneapolis and the rest of the Upper Midwest ever since we first brewed it back in 1986.

Pours amber with thick white head. Aroma is very hoppy with malt and some citrus notes. Flavor is more of the same - dominating hops, sweet malt and a bit of citrus. Bitter-sweet finish.

Pours an Amber hue with a nice fluffy white head. Nose is quite hoppy for a APA, malts, and subtle lemon notes. Taste has a nice bitter hoppiness to it, and the palate is quite bitter with a slight sweetness to it. I liked this Extra Pale Ale a lot. Undeniably drinkable and a good thirst quencher. Thumbs up on this one!!

Bottle. Pours clear copper with pillowy white head. The aroma is fruity hops, pine, and a vague sweet malt. The flavor is much the same, with an overall tame bitterness, smooth malt sweetness, and pine and earth notes here and there. The finish is a little bit bitter and ashy. Obviously a session beer.

It was amber in color with an excellent head and lacing. The flavor was hoppy and was smooth in taste.

It is what it says it is, a beer for the masses. Soft, malty aroma, with a hint of hop, taste that emphasizes malty sweetness over its hop,no doubt going for the Fat Tire type of crowd. a pleasant enough session thirst quencher

12oz bottle, enjoy by APR. Pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma of floral hops and some sweet biscuity malts--though neither overpowering. Fairly well balanced for an APA--medium bitterness up front, leading to a little bit of a metallic flavor, and then the biscuity malts come in. Finishes slightly bitter. I like this one better than the IPA.

Looks like my ratings are all high, but I’m doing my favorites first. This is a regular go-to for me pretty much any time of the year. Nice floral sweetness, medium bitterness, great cold and while waiting for that dang waiter to bring that gourmet pizza to the table. Northerners can feel good about this one!
