What it lacks in distinctiveness it more than compensates for in it’s universal appeal. It always tastes good to me, regardless of weather, food-pairings, or mood. The dry-finish and clean texture make this an every day, always-in-the-fridge beer. Great for a beginner, average, but well crafted. fatty (363), Perkiomenville, Pennsylvania, USA

Hoppy, fruity, floral flavor that seemed to blend a touch of apricot. Dry hoppy finish. Juelze (922), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA

Tastes much the same. A bit metallicy in the finish and very carbonated. This is a refreshing and delightful example of the style. brewrater (91), akron, Ohio, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 24, 2005 Typical amber color of most pale ales. Aroma is also typical, perhaps somewhat weak. Flavor is a good mix between hops and malt, not too dominated by florality. Maybe a few paper pulp-like elements mixed in, but not in that bad of a sense. Somewhat of a bourbony finish. As do some other raters, I find this a good, average pale ale. Not too much of a bite but not too lame either. Nice rich mouthfeel. Schultsc (486), Henderson, Nevada, USA

Not too bitter (not enough for some), not too strong. A good, casual, all-around beer to introduce to people not familiar with the style. Really great fresh on tap at the brewery--really nice people there frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 13, 2005 Better than expected... bottle poured a hazy, orange-amber with a creamy, almost-beige head that lasted awhile (and made return appearances upon swirling). Fruity, malted aroma, some yeast. Balanced flavor with a nice hop presence, albeit a bit thin.
