Bottle. Amber-orange with a healthy white head. Some toasty malt aroma dominated by floral, citric hops. Flavors of sweet malt and floral hops are kept in check, and the finish is fairly dry and short. Not too bitter, just a good session quality ale. Mouthfeel noticeable but not substantial. Well balanced, good drinking ale with clean flavors.

I have enjoyed this beer countless times over the yeas, and i thought it was time to give it a ratinn. First of all, I think the commercial description is all too appropriate, it’s a beer for all: blue collar to white collar, it’s a damn good beer that should appease damn near anyone. Color is a brilliant copper, aroma a pleasing mix of hops and malt that might seem too hoppy for the BMC crowd. Nice medium body of balanced malt and hops. Again, to the BMC crowd, this willl seem "scary" and "dark". But this is actually a nice, drinkable beer, whether it is -20 degrees before a U of M Gopher Hockey game or a steamy 90 degrees before a blisterng Johann Santana, Twins baseball game. A quality beer, through and through, long live Summit!

OK Pale Ale. It does not hold a flame to the Best. Leaves a weird after taste. Not a great finish.

A very easy drinking ale, nothing stands out, but it isn’t the run of the mill brew either. This one is a good working in the yard beer, when you want a better beer than the bud’s or millers.

Pours a clear orange-brown color with a slight white head. The aroma is of earthy hops with a slight hint of the citric. Medium-bodied with easy carbonation, it’s got a toffee-like taste with a touch of hop bitterness. Finishes a bit thick and syrupy.

12 oz bottle. Slightly cloudy, rich copper-amber color; fluffy lasting near-white head. Caramelly-sweet nose unfortunately has a slightly off quality; sugary, somewhat soda-like mouthfeel, thick at first; light hoppiness comes in late and the palate thins out considerably. Ehh.

Bronze color with a small beige head. Bready malt aroma and flavor. Not bad, but where?s the hops?

This brew sure looked good in the glass - a thick fluffy white head on top of clear orange; thick frothy lacing too! Why then did it have to taste so bland and watery? Yeah the malts were sweet and would’ve made for a creamy base, but seemed instead to be floating in water? Barely enough hop to balance the sweetness. At the end - tons of lacing in the glass and watery sweetness quickly disappearing from my tongue.
