Commercial Description:
Summit Extra Pale Ale is not a beer brewed only for beer snobs. Just the opposite. It’s a beer for everyone to enjoy: construction workers, stock brokers, farmers, sales people, clerks, teachers, lawyers, doctors, even other brewers. Its light bronze color and distinctly hoppy flavor have made it a favorite in St. Paul, Minneapolis and the rest of the Upper Midwest ever since we first brewed it back in 1986.

Poured from bottle. Beautiful amber colour pour with medium off-white head. Decent lacing. Dry and sweet. Citrus. This is a very drinkable beer. I always make a point to look for it at sporting events rather than the usual awful selection of Bud Light and Michelob Golden Draft. Generally keep a supply in the fridge at home.

Draght in minneapolis... Faint pale malt aroma with some hop spice and a little. Mustiness. Beautiful appearance, amber-tinted gold with a 2 inch very thick and very frothy head that holds well. I like to watch the bubbles in this beer. Puts a smile on my face. Surprisingly smooth and creamy malt taste reminds me more of a beer milkshake than a pale ale. It’s also sweet and thick. Drinkability my friends... Best enjoyed in the superior midwest, temp 68 degrees, with a lake view. Summit Extra Pale Ale has it, Budlight, not so much.

trade extra from moelikesbeer. light clear amber in color, small white head. Aroma of toasted malts, slight biscuit, and some mild american hops/citrus. Taste is malty with pale, crystal, and some munich malt- some light citrus and floral hops, well balanced. Skewed overall to the dry side with some light sweetness poking in here and there. Medium bodied. A pretty nice session bee overall. Thanks Mike.

Amber with a medium off white head. Hazy from the floating hops. Aroma of citrus, bread, caramel and a touch of alcohol. Taste of citrus with a medium palate and mild bitterness. Over carbonated which leads to some prickling on the tongue that takes away from the beer.

Bottle. Body is a slightly hazy brownish amber and supports a one finger head of sudsy tan. Aroma is fruit and sweet heavy... a bit of apricot, caramel, oranges and a little spice. Flavor is a little thin till the hops kick in the finish. This is highly malty (caramel) and fruity with a bit of a bitter edge at the finish side. Still, this is pretty bland and fairly uninteresting.
