Small sample at ElGaucho*s on 11-17-08. Pours a clear, dark copper to light brown with a small to moderate amount of near-white head. Bread, biscuit, cookie, and flower in the taste and aroma. Light hops and unfortunate hint of metal. Dryness in the finish.

Big ass nutty, smoked pistachio aroma. The flavor was less stellar, with a weak roasted nutty malt flavor and a mild twang to finish. Clear copper/red color with a fleeting head. Medium body.

Medium-dark amber in color. This had a very hoppy aroma. Nice hoppy bitter aftertaste. I thought this was a very good ESB. I definitely need to try more Summit brews.

This pours a beautiful clear copper. Thin white head disappears almost immediately. Aroma is all malt, a little bit of fruit. The flavor is a soft malty sweetness. It’s quite drinkable but could use a bit more hop bite to balance the malt in my book.

Bottle. Pours amber with small off white head. Smells malty, nutty, and slightly roasted. Tastes bitter, dry, nutty, malty, cereal grains. It is pretty bitter and a dry finish
