Commercial Description:
Summit Porter is very dark, but lighter-bodied than you’d expect, with a robust, malty character and a delightfully sweet finish.

Pours average porter color with a 1.5 finger thin, yet smooth head. Some hops in the nose; black patent and crystal malt smell; milk chocolate. Very smooth, but a bit thinner than I’d like. Burnt malt taste all the way through. Finishes too acidic for my liking.

Pours nicely...deep body; minimal head. Coffee and burnt nut aroma. Flavor is a bit too burnt/roasted for my liking...some hops near the finish with some lasting bitterness. Not my favorite porter by any means...

6 pack from The Rock...Beautiful dark Porter appearance, nice lasting head. Aroma is mainly malt and a hint of coffee. Palate is light for the style. Flavor is initially bitter, then sweet. Roasted malts and coffee are present in the finish, along with some hops. Not the most complex lager around, but pretty good nonetheless.

12 oz. bottle/tap. Black body with light brown head. Coffee and malt aromas. Solid, medium body and dry mouthfeel with sweet chocolate and roasted hops. A little effervescent with a clean, slighty hoppy finish.

Black with light tan head. Hoppy aroma with some roast to it and a bit metallic notes. The flavor is chocolaty roast and hops.

12oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with excellent carbonation and a thin, mocha-colored head. Aroma is rich with smells of caramel and chocolate, roasted malt, nuttiness, and coffee. Taste is deceptively light and effervescent with flavors of chocolate and coffee moderated by a somewhat more crisp hoppy finish. An odd but enjoyable porter with the rich flavor of its class, but a much lighter body and crisper flavor.
