Commercial Description:
Summit Porter is very dark, but lighter-bodied than you’d expect, with a robust, malty character and a delightfully sweet finish.

Courtesy of Davesarman <P> Aroma is appropriately roasty with mild milk chocolate notes. This is how a well made porter should smell. Flat black in color with a pinky than tan head that is mostly lasting. Fore is a tad tart, but quickly fades into a roasted malt, coffee tinge affair. A little too sweet int he middle with more than ample chocolate notes. Some toboccao ash notes in the finish along with a melange of roasted coffee and cocoa flavors. Fairly well made brew which could benefit from a fuller mouthfeel.

Pours a nice dark brown with a thin layer of foamy tan head. Sweet dark chocolate and bitter roasted malt aroma. Flavor is rather light and watery with just a sweet dry bitter chocolate taste. overall, just an average porter.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with an average frothy light brown head that was lasting. Heavy roasted coffee nutty aroma. Medium to full body. Balanced bitter sweet flavor with a small astringent finish of an average duration. Good Porter. Will try more of Summit brews based on this start.

Beautiful pour on this beer. However, not a fan of the taste. Bitter taste with a sour afteraste. As good as a combo as that sounds, it really isn’t all that tasty.
