| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 1, 2005 Had to search hard but found some coffee notes in the aroma, but surprise a very nice distinct coffee rasted taste with a nice chocolate sensation as it went down the throat. One of the nicest new porters I’ve tried this year Cornfield (4963), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 20, 2005 This is a relaxing porter. (I’m not sure why, but I relaxed whilst I imbibed.) It’s a deep dark brown brew with a very creamy tan head. It has a smokey roasted malt aroma with plenty plenty of coffee and chocolate to back it up. The creamy drink seems to have milk chocolate as an ingredient. It finishes with a somewhat nutty bitterness. Quite nice. Schultsc (483), Henderson, Nevada, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 28, 2005 nice all around porter, looks fantastic, nice opaque black brown, taste was a strong chocolate malt, could’ve been a little smoother and thicker, probably won’t hesitate to order another one, but not the best porter I’ve ever had Dogbrick (2864), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 23, 2005 Pours near black with a garnet halo. Very thin tan head that disappears almost immediately and almost no lacing either. The aroma is pretty nice, smokey and chocolatey. Medium-bodied and fairly effervescent for a Porter. Flavors of malt, nuts and coffee are nicely blended. There is a light smokey character in the flavor too. The finish is short and lightly bitter. Above average overall. sfontain (506), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 16, 2005 Very dark brown but fairly thin-looking; light brown head. Aroma slightly roasty with some chocolate and maybe just a hint of vanilla. Flavor is malty and lightly chocolatey with an overly hoppy, overly roasty coffee finish. It tastes like they roasted water. Thin--terribly thin--for a porter. Quite a sub-par porter; right now this beer has 79th percentile overall; how Summit pulled that off, I’ll never know. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 15, 2005 Very dark brown body, nice creamy light-tan head. Lightly roasted malt with some chocolate hints and some wet citrusy hops in the background. Flavor kicks up the intensity a bit. Some hoppy sweet roasted malts at the start. More roasted malts leads into a bitter coffee finish. About average for a porter.
