Commercial Description:
Summit Porter is very dark, but lighter-bodied than you’d expect, with a robust, malty character and a delightfully sweet finish.

Dark chocolate in color with lively off white head. Milk chocolate, coffee and butterscotch aromas. Initially sweet with a nice bitter coffee finish. Medium bodied and creamy on the palate.

A nice American porter. Interesting parchment aroma. This is very good but, Summit, I’ve seen similar body with 8% alcohol! I love the aroma though. Good session beer if you’re really into porter.

Dark as night with brown tinge, smallish head. Dark roasted flavors on the nose. Rich in the mouth with light mid and drying finish. Roasted grain flavors with burnt toast and light chocolate. Kinda hollow.

Looks like a porter, doesn’t smell like much, but has a lovely roasty, coffee vs. smoke flavor with satisfying hoppiness, medium-bodied mouthfeel, easy to drink, pleasant and not overwhelming, I think the smoke is the most interesting aspect--each sip is a little like kissing a smoker (a smoker you actually *want* to kiss)

A bit of chocolate, bitterness, coffee like. Very light to drink for a porter.

A near-perfect porter. Chocolatey for sure, smokey as well. The mouthfeel is just a bit too watery for my taste, though the bitterness is perfect.

Dark brown with a tan head that leaves a single ring of lace at the top of the glass. Aroma is roasty and faintly smokey. Flavor is smooth aside from a slightly astringent bite and a bit of a guaze aftertaste. Light bodied with brisk carbonation. Some dark chocolate notes come out in the finish along with a lingering roasted bitterness. Uneventful but sometimes no news is good news.
