Commercial Description:
Summit Porter is very dark, but lighter-bodied than you’d expect, with a robust, malty character and a delightfully sweet finish.

a nice looking beer...great pour; aroma was a little weak for a porter with only a faint smoky aroma; smooth medium palate; roasted coffee flavor; hints of chocolate...has a powerful smoky taste (a little too much).... there are many better porters out there

What a great looking beer! Deep black brown with thick tan head and chunky rings of lacing clinging to the sides of the glass. Nose is roasty sweet chocolate. Thick smooth creamy body full of chocolate and coffee. Finish is long and bitter. Great!

Opaque, black with beautiful tan head. Aroma is roasted(coffee and some chocolate) and brown sugar type sweetness and a moderate amount of acidity. This is much more a stout than a porter, very drinkable all the same. Creamy mouthfeel. Bitter finish/

Bottle: Strongest aroma is the coffee, followed by chocolate and some hops. Pours a dark brown, virutally black with a nice tan head and decent retention. Nice lacing. Not a whole lot of malts in the flavor. Strongest flavor is the coffee. Very roasty and slight chocolate. Finshes on the hoppy side. Very thin mouthfeel. I’ve had better.

Bottle. Near perfect black color. Moderately lived tan/brown head. Good lacing. Lots of roasted grains in aroma along with coffee and hints of chocolate. Medium bodied or slightly less. Somewhat dry on the palate. Hops balance well with slight bitterness.

Beautiful dark brown color with a reddish tint. The roasted malts come through strongly with a chocolate and nutty flavor. The head lasts a good while. Not heavy tasting, a great porter for the price.

Dark brown body with red highlights, medium light tan head. Toasty aroma with bitter black malt and piney/spicy hops. Dry roasted malt flavor with a hint of citrus or dark fruit, finishing with bitter hops. Thin-bodied and lightly chalky.
