Dark brown body with red highlights, medium light tan head. Toasty aroma with bitter black malt and piney/spicy hops. Dry roasted malt flavor with a hint of citrus or dark fruit, finishing with bitter hops. Thin-bodied and lightly chalky.

pours a gorgeous dark brown that glows a deep ruby red when held up to the light. head is light tan, well retained, and laces well. aroma is mostly chocolate/roast, with very nice soft earthy hoppiness underneath. flavor of bitter chocolate up front, finishing dry. great creamy mouthfeel-not too heavy. very easy to drink. a great session porter. a terribly under-rated beer.

12 oz bottle. Near black, with hints of garnet...everlasting whitish-gray head. Initial roastiness in the aroma quickly matched by agressive sweet chocolate, anise and grapes. Sweet and sticky on the tongue at first, fairly bitter, roasty and acidic to finish...perhaps a bit too acidic for me. Nice, but hardly essential for porter-files.

Black with a strong malty aroma. Has a nice roasted taste with chocolate, coffee, and nut flavors with a sweet finish. Feels good in the mouth and going down the hatch. This a good beer to consume in large quantities.

Roasty. Chocolately. I had this before I appreciated Porters....need to try again.....but didn’t find it extremely horrible.

Deep dark browns and crimson, creamy tan head. Nose is roasted coffee, malt, and chocolate. Nice flavors of coffee and cream, chocolate, some caramel, vanilla, hint of hazelnut. Medium-bodied, soft to medium carbonation, roasted malt finish. Thanks Wendy!

Dark beer with ruby hints around the edge of my chalice. Cocoa powder nose with a thin, whispy tan head. The flavor is sweet malts with a faint roasted coffee taste and a little cocoa in the finish. Very subtle hop bitterness. It seemed a little thin to me, but then the description admits that. Very easy to drink. Thanks to slikwily for the bottle.
