Commercial Description:
Summit Porter is very dark, but lighter-bodied than you’d expect, with a robust, malty character and a delightfully sweet finish.

Very dark, crystal clear, ruby ale with a fizzy, tan head. The aroma is malty, chocolatey and roasted. Notes of coffee, hazelnut, milk chocolate and vanilla. The well-balanced flavor mirrors the nose. Medium-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Lengthy, bitter, roasted finish. Nice porter!

Not much taste and the thick syrupy consistency of a slushy. Nice color. A bit of hops and a mid-sip chocolate roast. Thanks to Pigfoot for a full Summit line of samples.

Thanks to slikwily for this one! Coffee, Cocoa, Espresso in the nose. Thick tan head that is well lasting. Taste is bitter coffee and bitter chocolate, slighly thinner then I would have liked. It’s like a walk through the forest, and you can smell that piney smell, overall a above average porter that I was glad to have tried.

Not a traditional porter. This beer is more like a lighter-bodied Guinness. I find it thoroughly drinkable as well as refreshing. I prefer this over the sweet-finishing porters, but that is just my personal taste.

Dark brown with a quick diminishing head. Very good roasted and smokey flavor with hints of chocolate. Slightly acidic.

I loved this beer. It's a nice introduction to the style. Roasted malt, chocolate, smokey flavors. Even and predictable. A very Tasty porter. This is my favorite summit followed by the pale ale.

Aroma: fresh baked cookies, pine trees and oak. also, slight smells of baking soda and coffee.
Appearnace: black with tan head
Flavor: harsh, dark coffee flavors. slight dark chocolate tastes. harsh bitterness with smokey, very acidic aftertaste.
Palate: harsh, bitter aftertaste, almost too harsh. quite bubbly
Overall: more like a stout than a porter
