| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 1, 2009 Pint on tap at Jak’s Tap in Chicago. I have not had anything by Summit and really did not know what to expect with this porter. I was pleasantly surprised. Received this in a standard pint glass with a deep brown color with a very frothy one finger width tan head. The head almost reminded me of a nitro pour from a Guinness or Beamish. The aroma was VERY roasty with a strong smell of coffee and chocolate. The taste consisted of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate that left a very pleasant aftertaste. The only thing that I did not particularly like about this porter was that the mouth feel was a bit light. Overall, a very good porter! emoore0024 (25), USA
