Commercial Description:
Summit Porter is very dark, but lighter-bodied than you’d expect, with a robust, malty character and a delightfully sweet finish.

Just a nice, dark, smooth, rich, chocolate and coffee porter. Great roasted flavor, nice finish. Great for the price.

Pours nice dark color with small dark tan head. Aroma is chocolaty, and coffee malts. A very nice roasty aroma that carries over quite nicely to the flavor. Very nice balance of the coffee and chocolate flavors, with a good (if somewhat light) body. Very enjoyable porter.

Dark black pour with creamy tan head. Aroma of smoke and malt. Taste is again smokey with a nice smooth burnt flavor with medium malt character. Creamy finish. Real nice. Might buy again.

Pours a dark chocolate black with close to no head. Mostly tan lacing. Aroma is dark chocolate roasted malts. Flavor is espresso froth, cacao and malts. there are definitely bitter notes to this beer but it is balanced out to make a smooth porter..the body is fairly light for this style. Overall, I really do like this brew from Summit.

12 oz six pack. My first trip to the midwest in a very long time, so I got to try some brews not available in WNY. This porter was very welcome, a deep brown with a cream/tan head that did not fade fast, a full bodied taste with roasted chocolate flavoring. Not bad at all.

Nearly black with mahogany hue and tan head. Roast and chocolate malt aroma with some caramel. Lightly sweet with dusty and slightly chalky cocoa and burnt malt flavor. The body is on the thin side. Decent balancing bitterness. Nothing special but easy drinking and the best I’ve had from this brewery.

A huge foaming creamy tan head crowns a beautiful mahogany color at first pouring. Aroma is of coffee and carmel. Soft and creamy on the palate; subdued carbonation. Taste is of dark roasted malts with hints of licorice, chocolate & wild black raspberries. Slighly flat aftertaste. Its bold flavor pairs well with a brat and onions or barbequed ribs.
