CaptainCougar (4664), Rockville, Maryland, USA Aug 24, 2002 Semi-sweet with a very assertive hop aroma and flavor. Good color, but not much head. Could be a touch sweeter and thicker. hopdog (4654), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 31, 2006 12oz bottle. Poured a dark brown color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of burnt malts, lightly smokey, and some chocolate. Thinner tastes of chocolate, roasted malts, and some light citric / hoppiness. Thinner body. hopscotch (4591), Vero Beach, Florida, USA May 26, 2004 Very dark, crystal clear, ruby ale with a fizzy, tan head. The aroma is malty, chocolatey and roasted. Notes of coffee, hazelnut, milk chocolate and vanilla. The well-balanced flavor mirrors the nose. Medium-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Lengthy, bitter, roasted finish. Nice porter!
