Smell has some wheatiness with mild bananas and some cloves, but not enough for my liking. Taste of sweet wheat malt, with some bananas. Light hop spiciness at the end. The clove taste, while present, is way too mild. Seems halfway between a German Hefeweizen and an American Wheat. Moderate carbonation, fairly light and seems somewhat thin. Overall, very light and easy to drink, but also light on flavor. I prefer other Hefeweizens, including Schell’s, which is also local.

Oct 28, 2009 Bottle. Looks nice in the glass with a pleasant aroma that is slightly sweet. Smooth on the tongue with citrus undertones. Refreshing. Overall, pretty decent for the style.

Oct 28, 2009 Bottle: Pours a dusty golden/yellow color with a small, short lived white head. Very light aroma is wheat, cloves, yeast, and bananas. The flavor is deep in wheat tones with cloves, apples, cinnamon, and a little husky/bready thing in the end. Still finishes crisp and clean.

Oct 18, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours golden with a white head. I forgot to swirl the yeast around, so it’s only lightly hazy. Aroma is of cloves and bubblegum. Flavors of wheat, cloves and biscuit. On the light side, but still pleasant to drink.

Oct 4, 2009 Slightly hazy orange but only in the slightest bit. Nice banana scents with the edge of spice on the nose. Taste has a great upfront flavor of spice and clove. Banana flavors by a little, but the flavor finishes by fading quickly. Aroma seems to be better than the flavor, as the elements that reside on the nose are greatly subdued in the taste. Has potential.
