Commercial Description:
Summit Hefe Weizen is brewed with a high percentage of malted wheat, then a small amount of authentic German weizen yeast is left behind to help maintain its brewery freshness. And that’s what accounts for Hefe Weizen’s unique cloudy appearance.

Pours a traditional cloudy brown mug from a 12 oz bottle; very little remarkable about the pour with a very weak head. Flavor is somewhat sweet with a wheaty flavor. A good summer drink, and a overall quality hefe, but nothing to write home about

Layer of something on the bottom of 12 oz twist off bottle. Learning to pour a hefe/wit is really cool. Do it correctly, no cloudyness and muck stays in bottle. No identifyable aroma. Initial wheat flaver, nothing bitter. Clean and fresh and the finish is nice, no linger.

Summit Hefe Weizen 12 oz bottle Recent bottling, pondered 10/06 Medium pour in a tulip glass. Poured a cloudy medium straw yellow with a small white fizzy quickly diminishing head. Smelt of moderate bananas, cloves, tutti frutti bubble gum and raw dough. Flavor was upfront moderate sweet bananas, floweriness and light raw bitter dough followed by a sweet uncooked banana bread yeastiness with an average light sweet finish. Mouthfeel was light to medium bodied, slightly creamy and caressing, softly carbonated and light astringency. Overall, a good showcase of yeast in a hefe weizen, with only a poor showing in appearance due to low carbonation and disappointing head.

Appeared clear, not cloudy. Unique flavor with no sign of hops. I’m no expert on this style, but guess that it’s one of America’s best copies.

Perky German weiss yeast aroma, plenty of banana and clove, small head for a wiezen, really not that cludy either, light but very tastey banana and bubblegum flavor, fades quickly, surprisingly good, among the better American weisse’s I’ve tasted,an excellent thirst quencher

12oz, no date. Pours a hazy light golden with a small, creamy white head. Has the typical aroma of bananas and cloves, light crisp wheat and lemon. Flavor is a little too tangy for my tastes, but not by much. Has a little bit of yeast too. Very little bitterness. Light bodied, moderate to light carbonation. Not a bad beer overall, but there are many hefes that are even more widely available that kick this one’s butt.

bottle, pour was a little disappointing as far as appearene went, the beer was clear, and not at all cloudy, and he head was insignificant. aroma was heavy in clove and bubble gum, wheat and yeast. flavor was very crisp, but had a little bit of a hoppy bite at the end. the yeast and clove flavors were the pretty substantial on your palate for the aftertaste.

Pleasant aroma with light fruity notes. More clear than the average hefeweizen with golden color and moderate diminishing head. Flavor is good but not among the great German hefes. Sweet with mild bitter finish. A good beer for Sunday afternoon or if you want to drink several hefes in one sitting. A very drinkable and refreshing beer.
