Commercial Description:
Summit Hefe Weizen is brewed with a high percentage of malted wheat, then a small amount of authentic German weizen yeast is left behind to help maintain its brewery freshness. And that’s what accounts for Hefe Weizen’s unique cloudy appearance.

Pours with a nice white foamy head that slowly dissipates. Aromas of American Hefe Weizens; missing the Bavarian qualities. Has a nice, fresh pleasant flavor and body. Drinkable if perhaps a bit too soft. Had this on draft at the Bodega downtown where they also have it in bottles.

Cloudy and malty. A decent Hefeweizen - I’d say average to slightly above average. It didn’t knock my socks off, but it was fairly drinkable and I’d try it again.

12 oz bottle - Pours golden with a short white head. Aroma is light cloves and banannas. Flavor is much the same. Very smooth on the palate. Just the right amount of carbonation. A good summer beer.

On tap in a tall skinny glass. Cloudy yellow, no real head or lacing. Very light smell, grainy. Light mouthfeel and flavor. Just a hint of banana, mostly citrus of somesort. Ok finish.

bottle. very pale yellow with a white head. spices and some clove but the dominant flavor was citrus. lemon flavor was too strong, not even close to the best in a hefe-weise.

Not bad at all for an American brewed "german" hefe. They obviously used a nice yeast strain and got the requisite clove and banana out of it.

Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Clove, spicey aroma. Taste has nice texture with average clove aspects. A decent middle of the pack hefe.

Big flavoured style. Cloudy yellow; quite vibrant. Good spice and banana peel on the bouquet. Palate is thick with similar flavours. Certainly not short on mouthfeel.
