Commercial Description:
Summit Hefe Weizen is brewed with a high percentage of malted wheat, then a small amount of authentic German weizen yeast is left behind to help maintain its brewery freshness. And that’s what accounts for Hefe Weizen’s unique cloudy appearance.

A light cloudy color, with a strong wheat and yeast taste. A nice sediment of yeast in the bottle, something I like. An excellent Hefe for the money.

Cloudy yellow color. Smelled a bit spicy, and wheaty. Tasted okay for a hefe, certainly not one of the better available though.

Bottle: Hazy, lots of carbonation. A little yeast, but not much. Not extremely complex, but enough so to be enjoyable. Good session beer. Solid, but not outstanding.

Pour is a hazy gold with plenty of bubbles. No head. Aroma is clovey with a touch of banana and citrus. There is this flavor that I am begining to taste more and more of in Hefe Weizen. It’s almost a smoke character. It seems like an off flavor to me.

Yellow-orange with just a hint of cloudiness and a thin white head. Nice clovey aroma, followed by a beautious (is that a word?) yeasty-banana flavor. Somehow they got the authentic flavors, but not the full-on cloudiness and chewy factor.

Clearish (just a bit of haze) light orange body, thin ring of off-white carbonation. Nose of banana, clove, and tangy wheat. Has a nice mouthfeel with subdued banana and clove, leaving a nice, round, creamy yeast profile and plenty of tangy wheat. Tangy, slightly bitter finish. Nice for the summer months.

Bottled - Space Alien Grill & Bar, St. Clloud, Mn. Dark yellow, slightly cloudy appearance, good bubble action with a light white head. Typical clove aroma and bubblegum and banana flavor - pleasant enough. Has a very smooth mouthfeel. Overall, a good summer refresher.

Great looking cloudy yellow beer with little head. Has a nice what and citrus smell. Has great balance and a citrus taste. It doesn’t have the banana flavor the Paulaner has, but still a very good beer.
