Commercial Description:
Summit Hefe Weizen is brewed with a high percentage of malted wheat, then a small amount of authentic German weizen yeast is left behind to help maintain its brewery freshness. And that’s what accounts for Hefe Weizen’s unique cloudy appearance.

Bottled, courtesy Narnad. Moderately hazy orange with no head to speak of. Pleasantly fruity aroma - oranges, clove, a hint of banana and some graham cracker. Moderate yeasty flavor with some wheat sweetness, effervescence is quite high and perhaps a bit distracting. Finish is dry, lightly sour and lightly sweet with some moderate husk notes.

12 oz. bottle served in lager glass- poured transparent enlightened yellow of hints of copper and brown, low carbonation (to be expected from this brewery), small inmeasureable head atop the liquid surface. Aroma of wheat and a faint note of bananas. Hits the mouth with a low-medium body, the malt is there but unexpectedly banana and clove crash the party, middle holds up fine, finish has a unique banana/malt/clove twing to it. At least it’s all tied together! And this is the brew for this weekend’s party...

12 oz bottle: Aroma is yeast, banana, clove, slight bubble gum notes, and a light wheatiness. Appearance is clear golden pour with a slight tinge of straw small head that diminishes into a soapy white film. Taste is mostly the wheat, slight clove, banana and bubble gum are more subdued in the taste. Palate is quite carbonated and has a lingering wheat aftertaste that stays around for a while. Overall, Really nice aroma, taste is alright. Appearance could be better and palate leaves something to be desired. Drinkable but not a really good hefe at all. Cheers!

This is a very good hefe weizen beer and one of my favorites from Summit (so far). It has little carbonation and medium body.

12 oz bottle-pours a rich white head that laces and hazy yellow color. Aroma is clove, earthy, light/medium malt. Taste is clove/nutmeg, earthy-maybe slight chocolate, spice hops. OK carbonation. Thanks to Joe-jwc215 for picking this out.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy yellow gold with a small frothy white head that lasts awhile. The aroma is clove, banana, and citrus. Decent spotty lacing on the glass. Thin mouthfeel with a banana and lemon zest with a nice dry finish. Very refreshing, a good hefe from Summit.
