Pleasantly fruity aroma - oranges, clove, a hint of banana and some graham cracker. Moderate yeasty flavor with some wheat sweetness, effervescence is quite high and perhaps a bit distracting. Finish is dry, lightly sour and lightly sweet with some moderate husk notes. Cletus (5058), Connecticut, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 12, 2009 12 oz. bottle served in lager glass- poured transparent enlightened yellow of hints of copper and brown, low carbonation (to be expected from this brewery), small inmeasureable head atop the liquid surface. Aroma of wheat and a faint note of bananas. Hits the mouth with a low-medium body, the malt is there but unexpectedly banana and clove crash the party, middle holds up fine, finish has a unique banana/malt/clove twing to it. At least it’s all tied together! And this is the brew for this weekend’s party... demitriustown (702), Shelby Township, Michigan, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 11, 2009 12 oz bottle: Aroma is yeast, banana, clove, slight bubble gum notes, and a light wheatiness. Appearance is clear golden pour with a slight tinge of straw small head that diminishes into a soapy white film. Taste is mostly the wheat, slight clove, banana and bubble gum are more subdued in the taste. Palate is quite carbonated and has a lingering wheat aftertaste that stays around for a while. Overall, Really nice aroma, taste is alright. Appearance could be better and palate leaves something to be desired. Drinkable but not a really good hefe at all. Cheers! bburychka (55), Pennsylvania, USA
