Commercial Description:
Summit Hefe Weizen is brewed with a high percentage of malted wheat, then a small amount of authentic German weizen yeast is left behind to help maintain its brewery freshness. And that’s what accounts for Hefe Weizen’s unique cloudy appearance.

Decent, cloudy appearance. Has a mild, estery aroma with a clove, banana mix. Finishes a bit on the thin side. Not a bad example of style, but not as good as the German examples. Still, an ok beer.

Ok, the rating was low, but the beer is fairly good. I had this on tap and it was nice and cloudy. They put a lemon in it, and it was pretty good. I was inspired to buy a six pak, and drank them all with no problem. Can’t stack up to the Germans, but all in all, this is not bad. I will buy it again. The thing about it is that the German beers are so uniform they actually get boring. This gives the style a little something different, not real great, but different.

Really surprised by this one, basically went into this without any knowledge of the beer. Good aroma of orange and pine with hints of other citruses. Appearance is a nice cloudy pale gold orange, with a small off white head that fades quickly. Flavor is orange, hops and pine with hints of other citrus and malt. Goes down smooth and finishes, hmmm, just slightly bitter. Overall, impressed and refreshed.

A nice cloudy golden appearance in the glass, a swirling, murky mist. Aroma was faint but perhaps a hint of citrus fruit. The flavor was smooth and refreshing, but quite ho-hum. It did finish clean, but never really struck a chord with me. A really nice summer beer that shouldn’t be turned down, but don’t expect to be blown away. Cheers.

Cloudy orange yellow. Wispy, soapy foam that lasts pretty well. Nose is pretty disappointing and only shows light touches of character. Mainly banana notes with hints if corn and husk. As it opens up and warms, it becomes much more palatable. Fairly nice flavor profile, consisting of banana, clove and spice. A respectable, drinkable example.

12 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy pale yellow color with a white head that laces fairly well but lacks retention. The head drops down to small ring pretty quick. The nose is very subtle. It almost smells like banana laffy taffy with a dash of spice. It is not too overpowering when you stick your nose in the glass. Very smooth flavor, banana, clove, spice. Very typical, but what I think sets this apart is that it all aspects are not overpowering. This would be a good Hefe for people who don’t normally like Hefe’s. Like a "gateway" Hefe.

Poured cloudy yellow with banana and spice aroma. Taste was of a typical hefe, banana, clove with some lemony citrus. Not bland.
