Commercial Description:
Horizon Red Ale – an emerging American hybrid ale that crosses the boundaries of styles. This red-hued ale projects an intensity of complex hops – yet allows the drinker to experience the balance and character of the malt. Floral, dry, hoppy and satisfying. Beautifully dry hopped, Horizon Red Ale will be considered a classic.

Bottle. Pours an amber body with a white head. Toasted malt, earth, some lighter nutty and caramel notes. Thin and simple. Decent brew.

Red in color with a nice head. Very hoppy aroma followed by a nice hoopy taste. Balanced with the malt and very refreshing. Finishes dry. Good stuff.

Pours brow with a white head. Smells of light spice, some fruity hints. Tastes of spice, pepper, some resiny hints, sweet malt, earthy finish.

Deep red color, light brown foamy head. Sweet hoppy aroma with floral notes. Slightly bitter hops flavor without the floral that’s in the aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a bitter finish..

Poured from the bottle, roan colored, tan head that left lace along the sides of the glass. Aroma was floral, citrus, malt, and toasted bread. First sip, all hops balanced with a sweet malty grain leading to a dry finish. Would buy another six pack.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were and left behind a transparent softly carbonated copper colored body and a poor lacing. The aroma was brown malt and nutty. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of hops. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again.

Pours a rusty color with small white head. Aroma of caramel and piney hops. Starts sweet then gives way to a lot of hops; bitterness lasts a long time. Taste is caramel malt and floral hops. Dry finish. Quite bitter, hop heads will love this one. Reminds me a lot of a recent amber ale I had called Southern Star Pine Belt Ale, only less creamy. Very respectable Red/Amber Ale.

Good hop flavor and aroma. more biter than the pale ale, but this is certainly in a pale ale style as well. Some malt with fresh bread also. Dry finish.
