Light copper pour, thin off-white head, no real discernible aroma. Slight nuttiness in the flavor, hint of chocolate in the finish. Leaning to the bland side, but a decent companion to the pizza I had for lunch. Mouthfeel is full bodied with a high amount of carbonation. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 12, 2009 Bottle… Clear copper ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. The aroma is mostly of resin, but also offers lesser notes of grapefruit and caramel. Medium-bodied with sort of a buttery mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. The flavor is mainly about bitter, resiny, citric hops. Any residual crystal and/or caramel malt sweetness is totally muted by the earthy, grapefruity lupulin. Tannic, bitter, dry finish.
