Commercial Description:
Horizon Red Ale – an emerging American hybrid ale that crosses the boundaries of styles. This red-hued ale projects an intensity of complex hops – yet allows the drinker to experience the balance and character of the malt. Floral, dry, hoppy and satisfying. Beautifully dry hopped, Horizon Red Ale will be considered a classic.

Deep, brown amber color with a 1/2" off white head. Real hoppy aroma. Taste is almost like a pale all, real hoppy, and a little sweet. A smooth beer, with a lot of flavor, refreshing, and satisfying. goes great with 68 degree michigan weather, especially on the sidewalk.

Draft at IBG (Lutz, FL). Pours a reddish hue with a decent head and lasting lacing along the glass. Nice mixture of hoppiness and maltiness in the aroma and flavor. Slightly dry aftertaste.

(12oz, courtesy of Mar) Pours a clear amber body with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, citrus, floral, toasted grain, and grass. Flavor of caramel malt and hops (floral, grass, earth) with a dry, bitter finish.

Eagan, Mn. - Old Chicago Pizza - on tap. Light copper pour, thin off-white head, no real discernible aroma. Slight nuttiness in the flavor, hint of chocolate in the finish. Leaning to the bland side, but a decent companion to the pizza I had for lunch. Mouthfeel is full bodied with a high amount of carbonation. Had better from Summit.

Bottle… Clear copper ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. The aroma is mostly of resin, but also offers lesser notes of grapefruit and caramel. Medium-bodied with sort of a buttery mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. The flavor is mainly about bitter, resiny, citric hops. Any residual crystal and/or caramel malt sweetness is totally muted by the earthy, grapefruity lupulin. Tannic, bitter, dry finish.
