Light copper pour, thin off-white head, no real discernible aroma. Slight nuttiness in the flavor, hint of chocolate in the finish. Leaning to the bland side, but a decent companion to the pizza I had for lunch. Mouthfeel is full bodied with a high amount of carbonation. Had better from Summit. hopscotch (5507), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 12, 2009 Bottle… Clear copper ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. The aroma is mostly of resin, but also offers lesser notes of grapefruit and caramel. Medium-bodied with sort of a buttery mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. The flavor is mainly about bitter, resiny, citric hops. Any residual crystal and/or caramel malt sweetness is totally muted by the earthy, grapefruity lupulin. Tannic, bitter, dry finish. michael-pollack (2718), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA

Tastes of hops, pine, and slight caramel malts. Medium body. Thin, dry texture. Average carbonation. Bitter, hoppy, finish is lightly dry. Very drinkable. Ernest (4499), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 6, 2009 Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain, cookie), moderately hoppy (resin, grapefruit), trace yeast (dough), with a light note of black tea. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, moderately astringent, lightly alcoholic. Rather citric and astringent, and otherwise straightforward and simple. A run of the mill hoppy ale. drowland (1418), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 2, 2009 Bottle. Coppery bronze color-really not red at all, with a creamy white head. Very fresh hop smell with a sweet bready malt background. Very clean bitterness, not overlly bitter, with a light mouthfeel and a clean, slightly sweet fresh flavor. Dries out quickly and makes you want more. Very simple straightforward malt flavor with a very fresh hoppiness. Good no-brainer drinkin’ ale. drseusszb200 (212), Florida, USA
