Reddish amber hue with minimal head. Slightly watery. Lots of hops - citrus and slight pine - intertwine with loads of caramel, a little reminiscent of a fall beer, with some extra crystal sweetness. The cascades show up at the swallow. Overall it’s a fine drinking beer. nick76 (2657), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 16, 2009 The aroma is very hoppy with citrus, pine, caramel malt, yeast, nuts, and grains. The appearance is deep amber with a brown hue. The head is foamy. The flavor is like the aroma with quite a robust bitterness. The palate is smooth. Overall it’s good, it’s pretty much an IPA. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 15, 2009 Bottle. Medium bodied with a full head. Aroma is hoppy with some light caramel and a good amount of malt. Quite flavorful with a lot of the same characteristics of the pale ale which they are famous for. Good brew but not too unique comparatively. jcwattsrugger (5333), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 10, 2009 Smells and tastes of floral lavender and hops. Really only one major taste, which limits the complexity of the beer. A very pleasant and enjoyable brew, but not a super-sophisticated brew. Tmoney99 (4744), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 8, 2009 Bottle from belmont Party.
Poured a clear reddish brown color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasted and had excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy malt and earthy hop aroma. Medium body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration.
Good complex session brew. GJF (501), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 7, 2009 Pours a very dark ruby color--almost like a nut brown. The flavor too is kind of nut brown, malt with just a hint of hops at the end. It’s a solid beer.
