Commercial Description:
In keeping with tradition, our India Pale Ale has a distinctive – some might even say aggressive – hop flavor.

Objectively speaking: 12oz bottle. Subpar IPA bought in Ann Arbor not even 2 weeks ago.
I like: Malts maintain a bready, slightly toasty backing stance. Firm bitterness eventually, the beer is dry all throughout.
I dislike: Severely handicapped aroma. Dull amber colour with a quickly departing white foam. A bit of alcohol shows up in the end and this is not even 6%. Not very balanced in the finish, like chewing on dry leaves, muddled with earthiness, bordering chalky. Characterless hops.

Bottle. Jessup Plaza. Amber pour with almost no head. Aroma of light hops and some oak. Flavor was quite bland with an off hop flavor. Not too good.

Pours copper with amber and browns at the edges, has a nice varied bubbled off-white head, some effervescence, this ale left some bubbly lacing on the glass when drank, aroma of toasted and pale malts, some hop pine and grass aromas but not much, at least not what you would expect from a IPA, some fruit sweetness, some caramel fragrance appears as the ale warms, flavors of toasted malt, caramel with little sweetness, has a grassy and earthy hop taste and bitterness, finish is pretty dry with some malt flavor hanging on, mouth feel is medium, this comes across as an English IPA, hops are muted on the nose but are pronounced on the palate.

Brilliant clear copper with a fleeting head. faint aroma is bready malts, spicy yeast. Medium body. Strong, semi sweet flavor is caramel malt with a dry spicy alcohol bite. Not much hop flavors here.

Pours a nice dark copper with a decent tan head. Aroma is citrus hop, some grassy tones. Good strong caramel and toasty malt coming through as well. Flavour is a lot maltier than I expected. A higher malt profile than the EPA I thought. Initial hop bitternes quickly transitions into a medium toasty biscuity malt body. Not very sweet though then back into a very odd finish that is part chalky malt and earthy hop.

12 oz. bottle pours a copper color with a tan head. Smells of hops, but not that that strong. Has a typical IPA taste although not strong. Is extremely drinkable.

Variety 6. Completely average. Citrusy nose, and a lot of malt in the finish. Balance = nada. Not terrible, but nothing interesting.

This beer pours a copper color with a thin beige head. The aromas are floral and slightly grassy. The flavor is dry with a hint of grapefruit but more on the grassy side. Not a remarkable beer, but not awful either. Cheers!
