nice hoppy aroma, good color and head. but a hint of skunkiness and a slight metallic finish. a better hot summer day beer than an evening beer, IMO.

12-oz bottle. Had this at a friend’s house. Not terrible, but I’ve definitely had a better IPA. Seemed rather thin overall, the bitterness allowed little else to surface. One could do worse.

clear dark amber, wispy dirty white head, lots of drippy lace, light citrus hop aroma, sweet caramel malt flavor, light balancing hops and bitterness, a bit old, the bitter finish turns a bit astrengent

On tap @ "Summit Brewing Company" Tan head with copper colour. Floral and a bit of earthy hops aroma. The flavor is of bitter and floral hops which is supported by a nice malt backbone.

Bottled Sample. Like this one very mcuh. A bit on the malty side. Not as bitter as I hoped for, but nice tasting.

(Bottle) Received through a trade with Ughsmash. Foamy almond-coloured head with a deep mahogany body. Nose is mildly tinny with a slight amber malt and orange hop backing. Flavour is somewhat nutty - amongst the orange and tinge of bourbon. Biting bitterness. Fairly average IPA, more malty than those found on the West Coast but decent.

I like the dark color, mine was a little cloudy, which I like. It had been sitting in the basement for a while, and I ran out of Bell’s, so I gave a bottle of this a try. Dark amber color, fluffy half inch head, which dissipated. Lots of malt, and very little hop. I expect more hop from an IPA. There was a little metalic taste to this also. But that being said, it was somewhat enjoyable, and had I another one iced, I would have drank it too. Not a terrible beer if no hoppier and better IPA is available. I’d certainly drink it over a Bud or Miller Lite or those types of brew.

Bottled sample via mnurda. Copper in colour with moderate carbonation. Roasted malt (almost like chocolate, but not quite) is the dominant aroma with some mild citrus notes mixed in. Very mellow in the mouth with a nice roasted vs. rounded malt combo. There seems to be a bit of a vanilla note to this too, along with a bit of earthy hop flavor. Not very bitter, especailly considering the style. Not really an American style IPA (not bitter or hoppy enough) or an English style IPA (not enough fruity esters), but it’s still a well mannered, drinkable beer.
