A malty, almost graham-crackerish taste that quickly changes into an uneventful hop bite finish (some musk?). Powerful and long though, with great body and mouthfeel. The positives in the palate could not over come the lack of interest I found in the taste of this beer, however. Just seemed like a well made, but "eh" beer. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 9, 2006 12 oz. bottle, from OhioDad - thanks! Pours a beautiful reddish mahogany color with a small beigey head that diminishes quickly. Aroma is quite nice with toasty, fruity malts, plentiful citrus hops, and piney and floral character as well. Flavor is somewhat underwhelming, a bit watery, earthy and herby, somewhat sweet and toasty, with citrus peel in the finish and aftertaste. Medium body and gentle carbonation. ratman197 (3254), Arvada, Colorado, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 23, 2006 A pretty good beer. Pours a medium amber with small haed. Nice and refreshing but I would not really call this an IPA. Not much for hops in the nose. Flavor also is not very hoppy. Don’t get me wrong. It is not bad but it is pretty plain. theshocker (329), Marietta, Georgia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 15, 2006 Dark reddish tan, minimal head fades quickly. Floral aroma but very faint. Thin body, bitter. Not well balanced. Its drinkable but an utterly unremarkable IPA. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 12, 2006 Thanks to OhioDad for this one.
Opens with a lackluster pft. A thin head is roused briefly then quickly falls to a soapy ring of white.
Hazy amber body.
Very little aroma, although some malt and hops are detected.
Lightly bitter with some dryness in the finish. Lacks balance and complexity. Well below average. Ernest (4501), Boulder, Colorado, USA

Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is clear dark amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin), lightly to moderately yeasty (dough).
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter.
Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
Nice enough mouthfeel, but otherwise pretty ordinary.
