Commercial Description:
In keeping with tradition, our India Pale Ale has a distinctive – some might even say aggressive – hop flavor.

12oz bottle at home from Whip-In on March 15, 2009. Cloudy orange-amber color with a thin, soapy, hole-y head. Soapy lacing, sweet aroma. Citrus-hops flavor, more soap, a little bit metallic. Light and pungent. Strange bittering, really...

Guess I was expecting this pale ale to taste like an Indian one, not an American one. A clear copper pour with a 1.5 inch off-white head. Weak blended aroma. Some hop spice but... Forgettable. Taste is smooth thick, and most notable a little pine. Metallic finish. The thickness makes it a little hard to take down. A complex blend with mediocre results.

good beer. overload on hops. needs balance. needs a bit more biscuit to the bite. i like the hop flavors, but it’s too much. looks great. smells a little burned somehow. don’t get that. maybe it’s the dryhop?

Clear amber with a quickly dissipating medium tan head. Aroma of citrus, caramel and sweet malt. Taste of grapefruit, citrus and sweet malt. Medium bitter finish that’s somewhat acidic and vegetal.

The aroma is hoppy and sweet with plenty of malt to counter the grassy and piny hops. The appearance is almost hazy deep amber with a nice head. The flavor is like the aroma with a bit malt that was not detectable in the aroma. The palate is smooth. Overall a nice beer.

Bottle. Not a bad IPA, but not great either. Aroma is floral hops, grass, grains, and citrus. Flavor is a decent hop bitterness. Not strong enough for my liking. Poured a copper orange color.

The smell is citus, hops, flowers, malts, and caramel. The look is clear, the color is copper, and the head is a good sized white with good lacing. The taste is a low bitterness, hops, caramel, and malts.
