Commercial Description:
Early German monks created “bock” beer as a hearty beverage that would help sustain them during their Lenten fasts. The first bock beers were dark, but soon came “blonder” styles such as maibock. Maibocks have a rich, malty, full flavor. And, since our first brewhouse was from Heimertingen in Bavaria, we’ve honored that heritage by giving the name to our first lager beer.“Bock,” by the way, is German for “male goat.” It doesn’t make sense to us either.

Bottle: Light malty Euro-lager aroma with light hops. Pours a transparent orangish-gold with a white head with decent retention. Light caramel malt and light Euro-lager flavors with a decent hop finish that just doesn’t mesh well. Lightly hoppy Euro-lager aftertaste. Not a fan of this one.

Dark gold pour with a limited white head and some lacing. Hoppy flavor with some spice notesand bitterness to the aftertaste. Not high on my list.

bottle. the color of honey with a nice but quickly fading head. a nice beer but kind of strange for a bock. this was less malty and more hoppy than any other bock I have sampled.

Decent white head with a honey golden colour. Malt and some grass in the aroma. Medium bodied, slight bitter hop taste starts it out with some subtle but sweet malts. Leaves me with a dry, lasting, and even bitter aftertaste.

Pours a dark gold, almost amber color. A thin whit ehead tops the pretty body. The aroma is light bread with some macadamia nuts and dates. The taste is nice and sweet with some peanuts and maple. Fairly light, but I like that in this style. Great spring beer.

7.1%...no wonder I have a buzz after one beer. Deep orange/amber; small head. Aroma is very sweet, a little fruity, and lightly alcoholic. Flavor a little malty up front but the hops really overpower; leaves a sugary taste. Medium-thick body and quite sticky. Not bad.

Aroma: the scent dies off quickly with the head disappation. Hop and malt. Weak because of the bar? Appearance: Amber color. So-so lacing. Thin white head. Light carbonation. Palate: medium mouthfeel, light and dry, "different" afterfeel. Flavor: grass hop, grains, wheat, barley. Not bitter. Tangy. Not (in my opinion) a regular maibock.

upon opening this beer launched its bottle cap accross the room. It was a golden color w/ a nice white head.. smelled weakly of polleny hop w/ a weak malt backbone. palate was well carbonated and pretty creamy. The flavor was a bit lacking w/ a sweet grain and weak malts.. overall a decent beer.
