Commercial Description:
While it may resemble a popular Irish Stout, our Oatmeal Stout is quite different. Most notably it's sweeter. Chocolate, coffee and caramel flavors round out this smooth, full-bodied beer.

On tap tonight at the Happy Gnome in St. Paul. Pour was rich black color, with a hefty 1 inch froth on the pour. Aroma was roasted malts and vanilla. Flavor was great, roasted malts, vanilla, cream and finished slightly sweet. Really dig this one, and really hope they can it someday.

Draft at Craft Ale. Pours blackish with a very slight amount of dark brown ruby edge, and a 2-finger, fluffy, Guinness-like head that provides great lacing. Nose is roasty dark malt, dark chocolate, mild coffee, mild walnut, and mild molasses. Tastes very smooth, with the chocolate and malt flavors mixed with nuts, molasses, and a creamy lactic finish. This one surprised me, and I dare say it is the best beer I have ever had from Summit.

Nitro at the CAH. Pours a deep brown with a medium creamy tan head that laced. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malt and nuts. Really liked the roastiness coming through. Flavor of the same. Really nice mouthfeel and overall just a top notch Oatmeal Stout. Well done.

on tap at memphis taprooms- really hit the spot. a dark creamy brewding oatmeal stout with lots of roasted notes, and toasted flavours. coffee, dark chocolate, with a nice pure cane sugar sweetness to it that wasn’t cloying at all. really well balanced, especially for a sweet stout.

Tap @ Barcade. Nitro pour. Deep brown with a small casecading tan head. Big roasty and coffee aroma. Chcolate also pokes out with a light ash under it all. Roasty flavor is smooth and tasty. Creamy mouthfeel with a light body.

Draft. Pours a dark brown body with a tan head. Very balanced aroma, sweet initially with some light toasty coffee accents bakers chocolate and caramel malts. Dry but no detectable alcohol and a light fruitiness. Coco and lactose, great beer.
