Commercial Description:
While it may resemble a popular Irish Stout, our Oatmeal Stout is quite different. Most notably it's sweeter. Chocolate, coffee and caramel flavors round out this smooth, full-bodied beer.

Very nice stout for the price. Rich and smooth, roasted malts, chocolate and burnt carmel. Nice dry hop finish.

On tap. This beer really impressed me, definitely my favorite Summit. Nice dark brown pour, with a solid tan head. Aroma is standard roasty/oatmeal. The flavor is full of chocolate, oatmeal and molasses, along with a nice, bitter burnt malt character. The mouthfeel is probably about a 3.5, but not quite a 4...quite good though. Very tasty beer.

Served on tap at Whistle Binky’s in Rochester, MN. Black with a khaki head. Thin lace. Roasted, latte taste with a semi sweet dry finish. I expected a hoppier note from summit. This beer is not to complex but is fair drinking with an Irish stew.

Nitro-tap, pours a opaque, black body with smooth, creamy, light brown head. Chocolate and roasted malt aroma. Flavor is also chocolate and roasted malts, only sweeter along with some hints of coffee. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel; medium-bodied. Slight dark-roast coffee finish. Very drinkable.

Tap @ William’s Uptown Pub, Minneapolis: Dark brown, tan head, nice head and lacing. Nose of sweet roasty oatmeal and herbs. The flavor is thin, a sweet creamy body. Finishes a bit tart. Hmm, meh.

On tap at the new stub and herbs. Light oatmeal aroma on this dark brown beer with creamy off-white head. Solid oatmeal flavor with hints of milk chocolate and a faint burnt character. Smooth going down with faint coffee finish.
