Nice dark brown pour, with a solid tan head. Aroma is standard roasty/oatmeal. The flavor is full of chocolate, oatmeal and molasses, along with a nice, bitter burnt malt character. The mouthfeel is probably about a 3.5, but not quite a 4...quite good though. Very tasty beer. ebrowner88 (113), Rice, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 8, 2008 Served on tap at Whistle Binky’s in Rochester, MN. Black with a khaki head. Thin lace. Roasted, latte taste with a semi sweet dry finish. I expected a hoppier note from summit. This beer is not to complex but is fair drinking with an Irish stew. zeke626 (303), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
