Pours an red-orange color with a thin off-white head. Aroma has a light Munich toasted note, modest caramel, some citrus and floral hops nose. Flavor has a very grainy flavor, mild sweet toasted malt characteristics later in the tasting, alcohol is fairly high and noticeable with the finish with a spicy hops note. Brew has a modest body with a slick feeling. Overall a strong grainy note at the start and a stronger presence of alcohol at the end. Brew is pretty good as a whole.

Poured from bottle into tall glass. Bright, clear amber-orange with a bubbly (kind of noisy) head that mostly diminishes. Aroma of caramel, biscuit, fruit, slight spiciness. Pretty sweet for a Marzen. The caramel fruitiness is in full force, with some biscuit/toast undertones (less than other Marzens). Also, has a light spicy hop counterbalance. Somewhat of a strange, sweet aftertaste. Can slightly taste the alcohol. Moderate carbonation, medium body. Not a huge fan of the finish. Not the most drinkable Marzen around. Somehow I can always tell that this has a larger alcohol content than standard. Can’t really smell or feel the alcohol and I can only barely taste it, but I just have this sixth sense about the abv, and it limits my intake.

Bottle. Pour was deep golden/copper with an off white head. Aroma was of floral hops and sweet caramel malt. Body was medium - full with a bit more of a malt background than I would have liked in this style. The blend of hops was quite nice and the flavors all worked well together. Good brew overall.

A golden amber beer with a thin white head. In aroma, nice caramel malt with notes of cinnamon, very nice. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt, with light German hops, a light buttery notes. Not bad. On tap at Ike’s MSP, Sept. 13 2009.

Bottle thanks to Swalden28. The look is clear, orangeish in color, not too much white head. The smell is malts, light, sweet, caramely. The taste is malts, light, sweet, caramel.

Has a fair amount of malts for the style of the marzen, the alcohol is quite flavorful. the rest works on a basic level but fails at any one thing quite outstanding.
