Not sure why i never rated this until now. Very nice, smooth malt feel to it, slight hop presence. Somewhat bready mouthfeel to it. One of the better O fest around MN for sure

12 oz. bottle. Pours out a very nice deep old gold color with a finger high head. A very pleasant sweet malty caramel aroma. This medium bodied brew has a very nice milk caramel flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. Substantial mouth feel lays weighty on the tongue. The flavor and feel stays consistent through the entire journey form the tip of the tongue to the back of the throat. I very nice Octoberfest offering and on the best I have tried this year.

This marzen poured a copper colour with a white rocky head. To the nose there was scents of ripe fruit, raisins, yeast, hopps and a hint of lemon. First taste was smooth and thick with flavours of allspice, nuts, hopps and raisins. The finish had a little bitter / sweet flavour. Pretty good.

Twelve ounce bottle from Biggs. Attractive clear amber color, aroma of malt and grain, minimal head with no appreciable lacing, light body, sweet malty flavor with bittersweet finish which had a slightly sour note which wasn’t altogether pleasant. Still, not a bad brew.

A sub par Oktoberfest. We are ending the season and I’m sad to say I may end the season with this beer. Aroma was decent...caramel malt with a nice stickiness. Pour was a flat light brown. No head at all. Taste was all caramel malt which was a little thin and had an almost cola taste. Light carbonation and no aftertaste. This is the second string of O/Ms

Pretty smooth, a little unpleasant bitterness, but nice malty character. Wasn’t watery, which was nice. Not too shabby I thought.

Bottled. Poured perhaps a share darker than medium brown with a loose off-white head that doesn’t stick around for long. The aroma picked up lightly-roasted semi-sweet chocolates and darker fruits with a mild hit of char and some herbal notes.. quite sweet overall, but I liked it. The flavor held serve with a sweet chocolate and dark fruity base and light coffee and herbal bitterness at the sides.. drier chocolate and lighly-roasted coffee stick on the finish. Medium-bodied with a decent feel.. wish it wasn’t so sweet (started OK, but lost its appeal after a short while). Good stuff.

Bottle. Amber color, small head for a oktoberfest. Aroma is very sweet, lots a caramel with an after note of hops. Flavor is that of the smell. Definately seems like an americanized version of an oktoberfest and a decent one at that.
