The aroma is somewhat malty with a hint of hops. The body seems full with lots of complexe maltyness and a slightly hidden hop backbone. This is right to style BJCP - 3B. jstraw (774), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 24, 2007 Pours a fiery orangish/amber, with a nice white head. Nice light citrus on the nose with a good dose of roasted malt and a light biscuity honey sweet nose. Nice sweet roasty grainy flavor with a decent citrus pop. Nice balanced Okt fest, but I liked last years and this years Sam Adams better. Skyview (4057), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 21, 2007 Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Bob McFarland’s Liquors in McFarland, WI. Pours a light orange amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a white ring and film top. Some lacing. Aroma of light caramel malt, corn grits, some citrus hops and a touch of candi sugar. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with flavors of caramel malty bread, some molasses, and apricot. Finish is semi-sweet, a little dry and a apricot bread aftertaste. Strange! The Madison market received their shipment of Summit Oktoberfest long before Minneapolis/St Paul received theirs. Oh well... NeonLX (258), Wisconsin, USA

It’s smooth, inexpensive and it packs a wallop. From a bottle, it pours an orangey-amber with a quickly subsiding white head. Bready aroma with hints of caramel corn. Rather full. sweet initial taste with plenty of caramel, toffee along with a slight nuttiness. A bit of hop bitterness comes through at the end. Nicely carbonated & medium bodied. A very good beer and a marvelous value. cking (1023), North Canton, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 23, 2007 Rated 9/1/06: Ahhh, first Oktoberfest of the ’06 season and this one is a sturdy ox of a brew. Thick malty aroma, sweet and powerful. Good medium copper color with a thin head and minimal lacing, understandable due to the alcohol content. Smooth drink with a full well rounded feel. Flavor is strong and biting. Rich heavy malts dominate this one there is a nice grainy sweetness. I like a strong brew and this one is a great start to welcome in Autumn.
