Poured a hazy copper color with a small off-white head. Very malty aroma with sweet caramel notes. Big malty sweet notes. Caramel and nuts with a hoppy finish. Medium bodied with some alcohol warmth. Medium bodied.

Bottle (12oz). Clear amber, average fizzy-foamy off-white more-or-less lasting head. Grainy and sweet aroma, rye, oats, light herbal hop bitterness, a little tart fruit in the background - very clean and fresh-smelling, even as I rate this in mid-March. Taste follows, with more pronounced fruit, apricot, tangerine and even a bit of prune, finishes sweet and malty, hardly any sign of the 7.7%. Thick and still mouthfeel, wants to evince some astringency but it’s moslty slick and sweet, a fairly long almost cloying finish - actually a very nice winter beer.

Pours a clear burnt orange color with minimal head and no lacing. Sweet malty aroma. More of that sweet malt in the taste, it blends very nicely with the spicy Noble hops. Pleasant sweet/spicy finish, with more than a passing glance at the hops. Full bodied, clean, smooth carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a brown-copper body with a medium-sized creamy white head. Aroma of sweet malts - fruit, caramel sugar, toasted bread, and mild hops. Largely sweet flavour including plenty of caramel and bread. Significant alcohol can be found as well. Somewhat simple and detached.
Purchased at Bello Vino in Ann Arbor on December 28, 2006.

12 oz bottle. Clear orange color with thin disappearing white head. Big malty aroma and flavor with molasses and soy sauce notes. Medium bodied, almost thick and oily, with a touch of apple at the end. Very smooth finish.

Weak head with a bit of lacing on this slightly cloudy orange pour. Some caramel in the flavor, but nothing stands out as the predominant flavor. Smooth mouthfeel.

A very average Oktoberfest. Nothing real special about this, but nothing that makes it bad either. I guess that is basically the defination of average...

Pours a two finger white head that vanishes leaving no lace. Cloudy amber color. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Sweet malty nose. Starts sweet but balanced, subdued caramel finish, higher ABV totally hidden. 99¢ for a 12oz bottle from Chalet Party Goshen, In.
