Bottle thanks to Swalden28. The look is clear, orangeish in color, not too much white head. The smell is malts, light, sweet, caramely. The taste is malts, light, sweet, caramel.

Has a fair amount of malts for the style of the marzen, the alcohol is quite flavorful. the rest works on a basic level but fails at any one thing quite outstanding.

The aroma has a wet dog element to it that I am not crazy about. There is also a metallic smell in there that is not uncommon in the style. It does however have a nice caramel maltiness and some grassy hops. The appearance is perfect for the style it’s an amber gold with a foamy head. The palate is prefect for the style being thin but a bit smooth. Overall a pretty average beer of this type.

Yet another Oktoberfest. So many, and so little stick out. No exception here. Malty. Average.

Bottle. Poured with a big poofy white top over an amber brew. Not much of an aroma, but maybe a hint of breadiness. Bit of a surprise, then, to the palate, with a respectably yummy toasty, malty flavor. Session beer, all the way. (#3689, 9/27/2009)

Sampled at Famous Liquors Oktoberfest/Fall tasting in Lombard, IL.. Poured a fairly clear, amber/brown with some modest, off white foam and lacing. The nose was light toastiness and German malt. The flavor was similar, also noticing some light caramelly sweetness. Drinkable and standard fare.

Draft. Pours dark brown with a thin head. Nose of caramel. Caramel in the flavor, but rather one dimensional. I thought the beer was sort of boring.
