| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 27, 2009 12oz shorty bottle. Highly filtered orange-brown color with a minimal, patchy head. Classic robustly sweet aroma. Creamy malt taste, with some noble hoppy bitterness upfront. Just noticing the ABV..pretty impressively covered up..could easily pass for 6.0%. Certainly some rich sweetness in the aftertaste though now that I have been made aware of it’s strength. Unique and classic and the same time. Swalden28 (1531), McKinney, Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 26, 2009 Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in Plano, TX. Pours a nice looking dark orange with beige head. Aroma of malt, raw pumpkin, nuts, malt, little spice. Flavor is malty, some caramel, nut, little spice, toasty, hides alcohol well. Mouthfeel is medium body with high carbonation. Overall, a very decent Marzen.....enjoyed! Shakesbeere (64), Massachusetts, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 24, 2009 Aroma isn’t anything special -- some light hops mixed with malt. Flavor is heavy in caramel malt. Full body -- thick and sticky in the mouth. Clean, quick finish. A little too sweet and sticky. It was all right. emoore0024 (25), USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 25, 2009 Copper with a quickly fading thin white crown. Aroma of caramel, toasted and sweet malts, a bit perfumed. Taste of toffee, sweet and toasted malts and mild alcohol. A bit sticky and astringent but does a fairly decent job of hiding the alcohol. arrogantb (716), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 23, 2009 12 oz bottle courtesy of GrizzlyAdams and my first Summit beer. I poured this into a pilsner glass and it was a ncie orange color with a very nice subtle bread-like smell. The taste was like most other octoberfest beers I’ve had and nothing to stand out. However, I found5 myself drinking this beer really easily for the purported 7+ ABV.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 14, 2009 Bottle. Pours a typical bronze with fizzy head. Nose is sweet and fruity, caramelized figs. No hops, as expected. Taste is again, sweet and fruity with minimal bitterness. A touch tinny. Apple juice as well. Average. Cavie (1513), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
