piscator34 (1121), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Nov 2, 2009 Draft sample at Black Sheep pizza. Gold in colour with strong carbonation. Aromas are of grainy pilsner malts and mild dank Saaz hops. More of the grainy pils malt and green hop combo in the mouth, along with a hint of black pepper. Light bodied with a quick and clean finish. More of a premium lager skewed towards the Czech style rather than a true bohemian pils, but fairly satisfying nonetheless. Would be very easy to session on a hot day. bsp77 (191), Minnesota, USA Oct 29, 2009 Poured from bottle into tall water glass at work. The glass actually widens as it goes up, so I will just pretend it is a Pilsner glass.
Pale yellow. Active bubbles leading to slightly sustained head.
Aroma of fresh floral hops and semi-sweet malts. Light metallic bitterness. Fresh, fresh, fresh.
Hop flavor at the beginning, slightly sweet grains in the middle, and turns more peppery at the end. Leaves a sharp, metallic aftertaste.
Moderately high carbonation, smooth and almost creamy.
Pretty good Czech Pilsner. I have certainly have had better Pils, but in terms of all pale lagers (which I consider substitutes for one another), this is well above average.
jake65 (1658), Williston, North Dakota, USA Oct 28, 2009 Bottle: Pale yellow with a large, frothy white head. Dry, bready, floral aroma. Crisp and wheaty. Taste is crisp with florals and wheat. Just lightly bready and a whisk of that sour/doughy/yeast flavor. Not Bad. Lubiere (4464), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Oct 18, 2009 A golden pils with a thick lacing white head. A nice malty pils with light berry esters, and German hopping. In mouth, a light sweetish pils with light metallic hops. A bit commercial. On tap at Ike’s MSP, Sept. 13 2009. pumpmaster (474), Pembroke Pines, Florida, USA Oct 13, 2009 12 ounce bottle purchased at Total Wine Tampa, FL for $1.34 in a 4-style sampler 12-pack. Good. Palidor19 (1750), Brandon, Florida, USA Oct 5, 2009 the beer is one of the better pilsner that I have with more on the malty body and less of the harsh hoppy grassy flavors. still the is very drinkable drfabulous (1212), Columbia, Missouri, USA Sep 30, 2009 Light body beer with mostly an uneventful taste. Nothing out of the ordinary. What do people see in Pilsener. nick76 (2634), Tampa, Florida, USA Sep 30, 2009 The aroma is grassy, malty, and papery with a touch of yeast. The appearance is golden with a large head. The flavor is like the aroma with alternating bitter and malty waves of flavor. The palate is smooth. Overall this one is a better example of the style than most domestic brews.
