Commercial Description:
Summit Grand is the first pilsener brewed by Summit Brewing Company. Developed by our Brewmaster Horace Cunningham, Summit Grand follows the tradition of Bohemian Style Pilseners. This style refers to the many great pilseners that originated in what is now known as the Czech Republic. Our Summit Grand is brewed with select malts and both domestic and imported hops. Golden in color, with just the right amount of body, Summit Grand is truly the perfect beer for any occasion.

Bottle: Head was attractive, but disipated too quickly. Had sweet floral and sweet malty aromas. Golden color, but somewhat murky. Taste was overall kind of weak. Mild malty sweetness into very mild, but somewhat interesting bitterness. Finish was long but weak. Just seemed like a weak beer overall.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a pale yellow color with a very large yellow-white head. The aroma is sour and tangy malts with light floral hops. The flavor is light malts with a light yeasty undertone and a hint of floral hops. Fairly forgettable.

beer pours an amber-kissed gold with an orange creamsicle-tinted head that retains poorly and leaves little lace. sweet malty nose has a bit of nut character. a light hop-spice overlay. fairly simple and straight-forward. flavor starts sweet with a bit of a creamy note, then some hop-spice appears, with a bit of that "noble-tang" mixing nicely with the maltiness. reminds me a bit of Sam Adams Boston Lager, as it is something of a combination of the maltiness of a Vienna with the hops of a pils. a bit subdued version.

This is a pretty good pilsner. I’m not normally a huge fan of pilsners but I thought this one had a good taste. Dark gold in color with a medium bodied head. Smooth palate, with a taste of hops and slightly sweet. Slightly bitter after taste.

Bottle from Pat’s. Gold pour with medium, fluffy white head. Aroma of hopcitrus, some apricotty fruit. Crisp palate that throws flavor notes of hops and crisp citrus at you, plus some apricot and honey notes, and some pale malt notes. Refreshing and very palate cleansing.

12oz bottle: mellow aroma of malt bread yeast and proper german noble hops, maybe some american ones too. light flavor but balanced between the malt and hop. enjoyable on a hot day, and quaffable.

Bottle. Light gold with a thick lasting white head. Aroma is piney and woody. Medium body, with a stale malt flavor. Lingering sour flavor.

Deep gold. Nose crisp, lightly sweet, not many hops, but nice maltiness. Flavor quite sweet, bit thick for a pils, but not overly sweet or cloying in any way. Bit grainy. Some bright fruit. Not complex or deeply exciting, but a nice, enjoyable hot weather brew.
