Commercial Description:
Summit Grand is the first pilsener brewed by Summit Brewing Company. Developed by our Brewmaster Horace Cunningham, Summit Grand follows the tradition of Bohemian Style Pilseners. This style refers to the many great pilseners that originated in what is now known as the Czech Republic. Our Summit Grand is brewed with select malts and both domestic and imported hops. Golden in color, with just the right amount of body, Summit Grand is truly the perfect beer for any occasion.

Not too bad of a Bohemian Pils, just a bit too sweet for me. It poured a rich golden color, was actively carbonated, but sported a slight, short-lived head. The aroma was all malt, almost wort-like, near cloyingly sweet. Didn’t taste bad. It was sweet malt all the way with a mild herbal & earthy hop finish... not quite hopped enough for a Pils. Drinkable, just not desireable.

I like to sample all that Summit has to offer, its brewed about a block from my house in St Paul. Most bars have some form of a summit craft on tap. This brew hit me just right. A little fruitier tasting then i would like, but the smell is great, and it has a great color to it. Also, there is alcohol in it!! go figure! Itll get ya drunk!

Summit’s self-proclaimed attempt to bring in more of the Budweiser crowd. The weakest of their offerings. Like a much fresher Pilsner Urquell.

A golden-amber pils with a white, fading head that left a little lace. Roasted grain aroma with predominant sourdough and a touch of raisin. The flavor grew on me: sour & bready... creamy on the tongue with a dry finish and a lingering, sour aftertaste.

english pint / typical aroma; slightly cheesy, doughy, whatever, .... it’s lame! yet not offensive; typical aroma. dead straw body, slightly hazy, with thick and white head that diminishes slowly, airy, and with good lace. dead mouthfeel, but not cloying, and not obnoxious, it’s just there... flavor: slightly lemony. palate: slightly doughy. this reminds me of the hell i just rated! (Weltenburger Kloster Urtyp Hell)... Yeaup... just like it! I prefer the... HELL!!!

Light gold with a small white head. Grainy aroma and flavor. Finish is bitter and metalic.

Don’t particularly care this brew, while usually nice smooth easy drinking qualities are about all pilsner really have going for them, I can’t even say that about this one, It kind of had in inexplicable dirty flavor to it, not enjoy able at all

First off, I always try to be fair in my ratings of pale lager styles as I think many people here are not. Second, this stuff sucks. It looks alright but it’s overly sweet with hardly any hop character to speak of. Not really a pilsner and not a good beer by any stretch.
