Commercial Description:
Summit Grand is the first pilsener brewed by Summit Brewing Company. Developed by our Brewmaster Horace Cunningham, Summit Grand follows the tradition of Bohemian Style Pilseners. This style refers to the many great pilseners that originated in what is now known as the Czech Republic. Our Summit Grand is brewed with select malts and both domestic and imported hops. Golden in color, with just the right amount of body, Summit Grand is truly the perfect beer for any occasion.

Light body beer with mostly an uneventful taste. Nothing out of the ordinary. What do people see in Pilsener.

The aroma is grassy, malty, and papery with a touch of yeast. The appearance is golden with a large head. The flavor is like the aroma with alternating bitter and malty waves of flavor. The palate is smooth. Overall this one is a better example of the style than most domestic brews.

Dark golden with light white head / Clean nose of grain, cream, and honey / Medium body, modest carbonation, restrained but balanced malt and hops, with a touch of dryness on the finish / Flavors of dried grain, bread, honey, and cream / No remarkable characteristics, but very enjoyable for its overall fine balance.

33 cl bottle, Winnipeg, MB, Canada via Fargo. Medium golden, tight frothy head. Spiced grain aroma, peppery taste that turns a bit watery unfortunately. Aftertaste is not offending but could be better. Good session beer nonetheless.

Pours a light golden color with medium white head. Aroma of sweet malt, grass and some floral notes. Taste starts quite bitter and has a clean malted cereal grain ending. A straight forward, clean, hoppy, grainy pilsener.

Bottle poured a clear tarnished gold with a lingering ring of off white foam. Aromas of bread dough, light spice and a hint of citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of bread, spicy hops and a hint of citrus with a crisp lightly bitter finish.

Pours a very pale straw color with a small head that holds it’s shape with some bit of longevity. Aroma is slightly grassy with some hayfield notes, and a little bit of hops. The flavor has more hop character than the aroma in fact this has a real zing of bitterness that compliments and balances the quick transition into a dominant honey sweetness and fruity hop forwardness. Well balanced and delicious, if a bit watery.
