darker than a typical wit, this beer pours ruddy yellow/orange with minimal head...aroma pretty typical of a wit, with the obvious strength going to the wheat, spice, banana, yeast, and candied sugars..flavor is initially dominated by orange peel and coriander, but finishes sickly spicy and sweet (yet dry) with loads of nutmeg and cinnamon...finish is heavy and somewhat unpleasant...

Clear yellow with a thin head. Wheat and spice aroma. Cardamom and wheat dominated taste. Very clean, no yeast profile at all.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy off white body with nice head. Aroma is of spices - corriander, light citrus. Flavor is smooth, light spiciness. Finishes with a little dry mouthfeel.

Bottle. A touch darker than a typical Belgian white, but with a nice frothy head. Unfortunately, little fizzy bits float to the bottom of your glass! Aroma of toasted bread. Missing some of the trademark citrus notes on the nose. Palate is fizzy and about average for the style. Flavor is moderately bitter without much complexity. This beer is very dry, which detracts from its refreshing characteristics. When I saw Summit was making a Witbier, I assumed it was going to be an uber-bitter disaster as this microbrewer (as many today) feel the need to crank the IBUs of classic, milder styles. This isn’t nearly as bitter or crazily off-the-mark as I’d assumed it might be... But it’s really not that good anyway.

a nice, average spicy wheat beer. lots of flavor, drink quickly before it all goes away. quite good for a summit beer. not quite the real thing though. good luck next time boys.

Hazy lemon yellow color with a whipped egg white head. Spicey lemon/lime nose with hints of orange peel. Light crisp taste. Coriander spice, bitter orange peel, citrus, lavender and herb flavors. Subtle yeast taste in the finish. Not a bad version of a Wit. Thanks to Skyview for the bottle.

12 oz. bottle. Strong, tart, yeasty aroma of orange, lemon, and garlic. Pours a sparkling, hazy, pale, yellow/gold with a large amount of near-white head. Produces thick, extensive lacing. Wheaty aroma features citrus, herb, spice, celery, paprika, and onion tastes. Intriguing herbal aftertaste. Medium body. Smooth, frothy, and soft in the palate. Summit Scandia won’t blow anyone away, but it is an interesting, well-made ale well-suited for sipping while sitting by a Minnesota lake on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

Yeasy and husk grain aroma, with a smidget of orange peel, sprtizey grain taste with the thinnest touch of orange peel ,theres a slight psyche on immenent sweetness ,that instead becomes orangey dry bitterness, very light enen for this light style
