Hawksfan17 (662), Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 26, 2008 This golden pour has a small white head. It smells of banana and tastes much the same. There is a little bit of spice in there that grows as it warms. It is smooth and drinkable.
nqualls (575), Tennessee, USA Nov 18, 2008 Bottle. Poured a clear gold color with a thin white head. Aroma of oranges and spices. Flavor was malty with some citrus flavors. cking (756), North Canton, Ohio, USA Oct 27, 2008 I really like what I’ve had from Summit Brewing and have wanted to try this beer since it joined the lineup. Finally I was able to come across it as part of their Summer Sampler. A real nice Witbier, fairly true to style yet there is something different with this one that’s tough to place. Rich golden pour with an orange tint. Medium sized, white head and good lacing. Aroma is fruity with orange, lime, and banana. A touch of spicy coriander adds to an invigorating aroma. Zesty, fresh mouth feel that is quenching and satisfying. Good flavor, a mirror of the aroma. Fruity and spicy with a fresh, dry wheat quality. I did notice a faint bitterness within the aftertaste, perhaps a sturdy hop addition made it’s way into this recipe. popephred (141), Plainfield, Illinois, USA Oct 26, 2008 Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Pour produced a hazy, golden yellow body with virtually no head (some white foam). Notes of orange and spice are evident in the nose, as is expected with the style. Mouthfeel is crisp, smooth, and slightly tart, with a palate of bread and citrus. I have had stronger flavor profiles, though this beer does deliver on most of what it wants to do. Tessic (413), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Oct 21, 2008 This white ale poured a very light yellow colour with a bright white smooth head. To the nose there are scents of ripe fruit, pineapple, yeast and lemon. First taste is smooth and creamy with flavours of spice, hopps and lemon. Palate is slightly yeasty with a bitter flavour that lasts into the palate. CaryTheDude (489), Ripon, Wisconsin, USA Oct 13, 2008 Crushed with Jakebra. So we were cooking a pizza at the same time we poured this one, and I thought the brew smelled like pizza. So I left the room. But it still smells like pizza. Don’t know what kinda spices they put in this, or if their orange peel evolved into a pizza smell, but it’s definitely there. Sucks.
